Just after your final year exams, you plan to take a break of atleast a month or 2, have fun with friends, go for long vacations, watch movies, join a guitar class, be online all the time without anyone poking yo to go and study, sleep for atleast 14 hours a day etc. etc. etc. Well will this plan work??
Let’s take you to the 10 unexpectedly crazy things which always happen with most of the graduates after their final exams:
1) You will have to answer this famous most-loved question everyday from everyone you meet, right from your parents, relatives, neighbor to the security guard of your building “Beta, aajkal kya karte ho?”
2) When you say that you have just finished your final year exams, be ready to answer the 2nd most loved question “Waise, kya padhai kiya hai tumne?”
3) And when you say that you have just graduated BMS, their confused curiosity increases and they ask “Accha BMS….. Toh tum doctor banne wale ho?! (They read BMS as B.H.M.S or a doctor degree)
4) Then you try to make them understand about the course but unfortunately you fail to and you would walk away.
5) Then when relatives and neighbours enter your house seeing you with your mobile full-time, they start gossiping and the question is “Beta, koi ladki/ladka dekh rakha hai kya?” or “Shaadi kab kar rahe ho?” And you answer we are still in early 20’s and require a lot of time to settle down.
6) When you plan to sleep for 14 hours a day, what happens is early to bed and early to rise becomes your personal mantra.
7) Since you are jobless, you are being called by everyone in your family, friends, building neighbours to HELP! “Beta, agar free ho toh thoda yeh madat kar dena!” and sad part is you are so sanskaari that you cannot refuse.
8) You get an atleast 1-hour lecture from each and everyone about “Life” “Future” “Responsibility” “Commitment” “Job” “Career” “Money” and the list is endless.
9) You are now asked to spend less money on your clothes, shoes, mobiles and everytime you ask your pocket money, the question is “Beta, tu kab kamayega?”
10) As you know there are not many job openings around, you will be offered a job by every relative you meet with insulting salary and benefits by telling “Beta, thoda kaam seekh le jab tak accha job nahi mil jaata”.
