Kerala CBSE School Managements’ Association allegedly reported that the “liberal valuation norms especially awarding free marks” in class X and XII by state board are affecting the prospects of CBSE students in Kerala. Â The free marks affects the weightage for XII level public examination. The matter was raised by the association on 29th April 2014. It demanded that the state government should treat all unaided CBSE schools in Kerala on a par with the corresponding unrecognized schools under state syllabus and extend all privileges and protection granted to the latter.
All issues that mattered to the association has been brought to the attention of the authorities concerned in the state government but still a positive response is yet to be received.
They have demanded that an expert committee should be formed to study the problems and issues faced by the CBSE schools in the state with due representation from CBSE School Managements Association.
