Kakizome is celebrated on 2nd January 2015. Kakizome means first writing. Kakizome is a Japanese term for the first calligraphy which is written at the beginning of the year. People would write Chinese poetry containing auspicious words and phrases such as long life, spring, youth by sitting on a favourable direction.
