I couldn’t figure out how to introduce you to this topic because, all of us know that most of the Bollywood movies have been copied from Hollywood (and some from Tollywood too!). And this isn’t surprising at all. Nonetheless, you might not have thought of this list being a copy of Hollywood.
- Partner – Hitch (2005)
The epic jodi of Salman and Govinda has always been fun to watch, only to realize that they have copied it from a Hollywood movie. But regardless of that, Hitch is a great movie too!
- Judwaa – Twin Dragons (1992)
Ok, well, I don’t feel like praising Bollywood anymore.
- Black – The Miracle Worker (1962)
Rani Mukerji’s commendable work and of course Amitabh Bachchan being a part of the film made it special for all of us. Who knew, this 8.2/10 IMDb could let us down too!
- Chachi 420 – Mrs. Doubtfire (1993)
Do you believe it? At first neither did I. It had been an entertainer for all age groups, making us laugh our lungs out. It wasn’t easy to type this while writing the article.
- Salaam Namaste – Nine Months (1995)
Now after getting to know about so many well known movies being translated from Hollywood, this doesn’t come as a shock to me.
- Mohabattein – Dead Poets Society (1989)
Again, a big disappointment for all Bollywood lovers.
- Munnabhai MBBS – Patch Adams (1998)
I AM SPEECHLESS. No words to say now.
- Jo Jeeta Vohi Sikander – Breaking Away (1979)
Aamir Khan, we thought was “the perfectionist”. He still is, but somehow it’s gonna be difficult to trust in that now.
- Rang de Basanti – All my sons (1948)
I am awestruck. ‘Cause I’ve seen this movie like a 100 times and I can repeatedly watch it! Still, the feeling doesn’t sink in that it’s not an original piece of work.
10. Satte pe Satta – Seven Brides For Seven Brothers (1954)
Difficult to believe in this fact.
The list goes on and on… I wonder how the creators manage to copy so many Hollywood films and give them their own name. Just disappointing.
