Kerala, God’s own country has 2 main monsoon seasons. The rains that arrive in the middle of the month of Evadam (of Malayalam calendar) i.e. the southwest monsoon that arrives in the month of June is known as Edavappathy. In mid-October, the northeast monsoon that arrives in the month of Thulam (as per Malayalam calendar) is known as Thulavarsham i.e. The Rains in Thulam. According to Ayurveda, monsoon is the best season for humans to rejuvenate themselves. During monsoon, Kerala remains dust-free and cool and hence, many opt to take natural therapies during this season.
