Friendship is a priceless gift that a person could have and the gift of a true friend is like an angel come down from heaven. Being a real and true may not always be easy, friendship requires constant nurturing and effort to make it worth. As we all know life is a journey, there will be some by your side while many others will leave you on their way. In order to have a good friend, one must be a good friend first. If you wish to be a good friend follow these few steps to be one.

1. Keep your promises: Once a promise is given then there is no going back. When you say you’ll do something, stick to your words. Do not promise anything if you can’t make it.
2. Reliable: Be a person your friend can rely on, be dependable so that your friend may not have to hesitate or think twice before asking something from you. Being reliable will help them open up themselves in front of you.
3. Keep secrets: Friendship involves a lot of secrets that shared only between true friends. You must know to keep the deepest of secrets shared by your friend with the assurance that it will not be leaked out.
4. Be Honest and constructive: Being honest is essential in any relationship friendship being one of them. You need to be honest to your friend through your words and deeds. Also do not step back from telling your friend that they are doing something wrong that can ruin their lives.
