Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education exams for SSC Class X will be held in 9 divisions of the board which includes Pune, Mumbai, Nashik, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Konkan, Nagpur, Amravati and Latur.
The board has appointed counsellors to help students with exam stress and studies related problems from 8am to 8pm throughout the exam period.
More than 17.28 lakh students from Maharashtra state which includes 2.77 lakh students from Pune are going to appear for the exam from Monday.
15.58 lakh will appear for new course and remaining will be for old course.
The first language paper including Marathi, Hindi, Urdu, Gujarathi, Tamil among others will take place between 11am and 2pm
The second and third language subject paper will be conducted between 3pm and 6pm.
The exam will get over on March 27.
The science paper will be for 100 marks (80 marks written and 20 marks practical).
There will be a single question paper of 80 marks for science subject and the students have to answer sections ‘A’ and ‘B’ in the same answersheet.
Multiple question paper sets will be available for English (third language), mathematics and general maths papers.
Steps like bar coding of answer sheets, hologram stickers for establishing authenticity of answer sheets, videographing of sensitive centres and surprise visits to exam centres by vigilance and sitting squads, have been put in place to avoid malpractices during the examination.
