Anil Goswami is an Indian Administrative service officer of Jammu and Kashmir cadre and incumbent Union Home Secretary Of India of the Ministry of Home affairs.
He is the first civil servant form the state to hold this position.
Goswami was the first Chief Executive of the Vaishno Devi Shrine Board. The board was set up in August 1988.
On February 2009, he took over the office of Principal Secretary of the Industries and Commerce Department.
Goswami was born on 14 January 1955 in Jammu. He graduated from the second division in history, economics and English and completed his post graduation in first division history.
Goswami was sacked on 4 February 2015 for interfering into CBI’s inquiry into Sharda scam.
