1)Hafiz Muhammad Saeed was born on 10 March, 1950 in Sargodha, Pakistan. He is the leader of jama’at-ud-da’wah which operates from Pakistan.
2)The organisation has been banned as a terrorist organisation by India, the United States, the United Kingdom, the Euporean Union, Russia and Australia.
3)He is considered as one of the most wanted terrorists of India because of his alleged ties with Lashkar-e-Taiba, and its involvement in attacks against India, he is also listed in NIA Most Wanted list.
4)In April 2012, The United States announced a bounty of $10 million on Hafiz Saeed, for his alleged role in 2008 Mumbai terror Attacks.
5)Currently, he lives in Lahore, Pakistan in a “fortified house, office and mosque”. He gives interviews to Western media, including The New York Times Newspaper.
