Records are made to be broken, is a saying that has been a reality most of the times but there are some records in sports which are impossible to break. These records just don’t seem to get broken by anyone in this modern era. Let us discuss 5 records that are unbreakable.
Boston Celtic – 8 NBA titles in a row
Winning 8 NBA titles in a row is unbelievable feat to achieve and to be fair no one will ever achieve and no one will ever break the record of Celtic. This fast paced games has changed in modern era and in such a competitive league it just seems impossible for all to win 8 titles in a row.
Michael Phelps – 8 Gold Medals in 2008 Olympics
This was the most iconic moments in the history of Olympics when Michael Phelps had broken the world record and won 8 Gold Medals in the Beijing Olympics. It seems impossible for someone to break this record of winning so many gold medals in just one Olympics.
John Isner vs Nicholas Mahut – Longest Tennis Match
Both are not the household names, and they never made it big in the tennis world but they do have this one match to remember which will have them in the history books as they played the longest tennis match ever. It was the longest in two ways: first the score 6-4, 3-6, 6-7, 7-6, and 70-68! This was itself a record while the match also went on for 3 days due to bad weather.
Don Bradman – 99.94 Batting Average
Sir Donald Bradman was one of the greatest players to play the game and when it comes to his test cricket batting average, it is unbreakable. The average would have been 100 had Sir Don had not got out for a duck and scored mere 4 runs in his final test match that he ever played.
Real Madrid – 5 European Titles in a row
This record is unbreakable as 5 European titles in a row is impossible in today’s European competition. Infact the modern Uefa Champions’ League has a record that no one has defended their European title. Due to the massive competition with great football clubs in Europe it just doesn’t seem someone would ever break it.
