RED FORT, DELHI
It was built by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in 17th century. It took 10 years to complete this fort. It used to be referred as “Quila-e-Mubarak” as royal family used to live there. It is also inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The fort is alongside the river Yamuna.
AMBER FORT, JAIPUR
It was built by Raja Man Singh I in 1952. This fort is blend of Hindu, Rajput and Mughal architectural style. It is situated in a serene backdrop of the Aravali Hill.
AGRA FORT, AGRA
It was built by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in 1565. He spent his last years in this fort, to have a clear view of TajMahal. Agra Fort is also inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The fort is alongside the west of river Yamuna.
JAISALMER FORT, RAJASTHAN
It is also crowned as one of the largest forts in the world. It was constructed in the 12th century. DussehraChowk is the main courtyard of the Jaisalmer fort. The Jaisalmer Fort is standing in a cliff top that becomes visible from a distance.
 DAULATABAD FORT, AURANGABAD
The fort was built by Raja Bhillamraj in 12th century in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. Today it is regarded as the remains of Buddhist caves like those caves of Ajanta and Ellora. Delhi Sultanate used this fort as their base for their conquering operations towards south.
GOLKONDA FORT, HYDERABAD
It was built by Kakatiya Dynasty. The fort underwent a couple of reconstructions during the reign of Ibrahim QuliQutub Shah Wali, who later ruled the dynasty. It is situated 11 kilometers away from the city of Hyderabad at the cliff top.
JUNAGARH FORT, BIKANER
It was built in the year 1589 AD and was ruled by a lot of rulers of Bikaner till 1920 AD. It displays the history, culture and traditions of the city through a fleet of art galleries, corridors and courtyards.
