West Bengal School Service Commission (WBCSSC) has posted recruitment notification of 4900 vacancies for Graduate Teachers posts.
Eligible candidates are therefore invited to appear for the TET examination conducted by the West Bengal Central School Service Commission on 9th March, 2014. Candidates are notified to apply on or before 8thFebruary 2014.

Required eligibility
Aspirants who possess graduation with minimum 50% can apply for the West Bengal TET exam 2014. Candidates who possess post graduation with 40 % marks can also apply.
Fee structure
- General/OBC category candidates- Rs 250
- SC/ST/PH category candidates- Rs. 80/-
Selection Process
Minimum qualification for Hons/PG vacancies as stipulated by NCTE is not mandatory. Therefore, candidates possessing qualification as per West Bengal School Service Commission Rule 2007 will be shortlisted according to the below given:
Subject Test- 60 Marks
Academic qualification in additional to professional- 30 Marks
qualification or as per last date of application
Teaching experience- 5 Marks
Personality test – 5Marks
Candidates willing to teach Class V to VIII should have the required qualification of TET and should also appear for RLST Examination held after publishing the TET results.
How to apply
Candidates who fulfill all the required eligibility can apply for West Bengal TET Exam 2014 notification.
Candidates may obtain the application form from any post office and fill the form with all required details. Filled application should be submitted on or before 8th February 2014.
