Management Aptitude Test (MAT)Â is a standardised test being administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes. Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD approved MAT as a national level test in 2003. Any B-School – national or international – can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates. The largest test of its kind in the nation, MAT will continue to be your passport to over 600 B-Schools across India.
Important Dates:
- The paper-based exam will be held on May 4, 2014.
- Online exam will start from May 10, 2014.
- Last date to submit applications: April 16, 2014.
- For online registrations, the last date is April 19, 2014.
How to Apply
- Interested eligible candidates can apply online through AIMA website www.apps.aima.in/matdec13 till 16 April 2014. These candidates can pay the examination fees of Rs. 1200 either using a credit card / debit card OR through a crossed demand draft of Rs 1200 drawn in favour of ‘All India Management Association’ payable at Delhi.
- Candidate can also obtain the application form with MAT bulletin / CD from listed branches of Bank of Baroda / Axis Bank / listed study centers of AIMA / AIMA, New Delhi by making cash payment of Rs 1200.

- All MAT Registration Forms received at AIMA by the prescribed date and time will be scanned / validated within 3 days and the Form Numbers of these forms will be uploaded on the web-link http://apps.aima.in/mat_reciept.aspx.
- After scrutiny, forms found in order will be provisionally registered. All provisionally registered candidates — both for Paper Based test and Computer Based Test – will be able to download their Admit Card from AIMA web-link: http://apps.aima.in/matadmitcard.aspx 7 days before the Paper Based test date i.e. with effect from 26 April 2013.
- The Admit Card will contain Candidate’s Name, Form No, Roll No, Test Date, Test Time and Test Venue Address.
- Candidate has to strictly follow the date and time allotted to him/her in the case of Computer Based Test.
- These candidates — who have opted for Computer Based Test — will have the option to choose the date and time slot of their choice, subject to availability. Date and time slot will be automatically allotted by the system to those candidates who do not select their slot up to 4 days before the Computer Based Test.
