On 11th March 2014, SpiceJet has announced a 5-day Super Holi Sales Scheme at an inclusive of Rs. 1,999 for travel between 14 April and 30 June 2014. Lowest fares are for bookings made 90 days prior to travel and all booking under this offer require minimum 30 days advance purchase.
This forced the Market leader to lower fares on select routes. Â Examples of fares under this offer: Delhi-Chandigarh for Rs 1,999 only (all inclusive)Hyderabad – Cochin for Rs 2,999 (all inclusive), and Amritsar – Mumbai for Rs 3,999 (all inclusive) only.
While SpiceJet and IndiGo have announced flash sales on 30-90 days advance purchase window on the occasion of summer holidays, the flight ticket sales are expected to rise making profits to the aviation industry.
