Interview with Sahil Dilip Dhabalia, TYBMS Sem 5 Topper 2013-14, KES Shroff College of Arts and Commerce who scored 73.71% and GPA Score –6.43

 

How does it feel to be a Topper in the university exams? Whom will you credit your success to? What was your success mantra?

Ans: It feels good and like I have achieved something great. Obviously I would like to give the credit of my success to my Parents, teachers and my friends. Hardwork with smart work and daily study and a go through of chapters taught in the college.

 

Did you prepare any timetable and please share your study strategy/exam tips to crack each subject of sem 5?

Ans:  Yes, before 15 days of exam I prepared a schedule in which 2 days were allotted to each subject and daily 1hour practice of F.M and SSF.

 

Do you think BMS student require coaching classes or is self-study enough? Had you joined any coaching class for a particular subject?

Ans: no coaching classes are required as such…for any subject, but if someone is weak in practical subjects then classes of FM is required.

 

What was your specialization subject? Why did you opt for it?

Ans: I did my specialization in finance, because I would like to do MBA in finance.

 

Can you list the textbooks you referred for all subjects?

Ans: Vipul publications, Rishabh and Sheth publications for all the subjects

 

Which was your worst paper? Why? Which was your best paper? Why?

All papers were best except FM because it had confusing twists.

 

Today, we often come across students committing suicide out of failure, depression or tension of exams. What do you have to say about this? Did you use any special techniques for stress management?

Ans: yes just keep calm and believe in yourself as well as the God

 

The Black Book project contributing a significant part to the percentage, please share the experiences you had during the preparation of the project and how has it benefited you.

Ans: it was a great experience as we got a practical experience of conducting a research.

 

Did you pursue any additional courses/ internships alongside BMS? What are your future  plans?

Ans: MBA/MMS in finance

 

Any tips and advises for your juniors?

Ans: just study regularly like me as well as enjoy your last year of college life. All the best 🙂
