Sony had released Xperia Z2 in Singapore and within days of release, owners of the smartphone have started complaining about a couple of hardware issues i.e. their phone is getting over-heated while taking 4K videos and camera turns-off abruptly. Sony has asked the users facing water-proofing problems to visit authorized service centres and use high-capacity SD card. High-definition 4K videos crams-up the memory, which leads to over-usage of processor and battery. Xperia Z2 release date has been postponed for Europe region to May (it was supposed to hit stores in early April) and to June for Hong Kong.
UK release date has been set for May 1 i.e. 3 weeks later than originally planned 10 April launch.
The Sony Xperia Z2 offers a 5.2-inch full 1080p HD display running the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat and Sony’s latest UI. It will have a 20.7-megapixel camera in the rear with Exmr RS for mobile image processing and 4K video recording capabilities. Its 8.2mm thick body comes with water and dustproof qualities and you’ll also get NFC, Wi-Fi and 4G LTE connectivity.  It runs on a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapragon 801 Krait CPU with 3GB of RAM and an Adreno 330 GPU.
