The Eagles didn’t wait long to make their first pick of the second round on Friday night — and they grabbed a wide receiver, the position a lot of people thought they would go for in the first round Thursday night.
After trading with the Tennessee Titans to move up from No. 54 to No. 42, the Eagles selected  Jordan Matthews as wide receiver from Vanderbilt. This trade costed  the Eagles their second-round pick, No. 54, and their fourth-round pick, No. 122.
Matthews, 6-foot-3, 212 pounds,  with 112 catches for 1,477 yards and seven touchdowns finished the last season . Although he did not carry the big name that many of the top receiver prospects did, Matthews had the size and speed (4.44 seconds in the 40-yard dash) the Eagles were believed to be looking for in a wide receiver.
Eagles chose Jordan Matthew as the wide reviver
