Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar has shown that he is a true sportsman and all sport whether is cricket or football carries equal importance for him. The retired cricketer now has shown keen interest in football by becoming a co-owner of a football team to compete in the Indian super league football tournament (ISL). The team has been named ‘Kerala Blaster’ by the respected Kerala state chief minister Oommen Chandy after his meeting with the Master blaster on Tuesday.
Chandy also requested Tendulkar to be the Goodwill Ambassador of the National Games, to be held in Kerala in January –February 2015. Tendulkar also received a grand reception by the government of Kerala in his honour. After meeting Chandy in his chamber and receiving so much love, honour and affection Tendulkar said he was so overwhelmed and speechless and is really thankful to the government and people of Kerala.
When talking about the name of his team ‘Kerala blasters’ Sachin said since people call him Master Blaster you can therefore associate the name given. Everyone must be thinking being a cricketer why would he show in football, one that Sachin open up few secrets of his life saying he used to enjoy other sports like Hockey, Football and even Badminton and not only Cricket. Tendulkar’s motto behind taking part in the tournament is that like Cricket even Football should gain equal popularity in our nation like our other countries.
We wish Master Blaster all the very best for the tournament and hope that like Cricket even in Football the victory goes in his hands!
