Famous badminton players and sisters Serena and Venus Williams are out from the French open since both lost in the second round on Wednesday each being outplayed by little known opponents at Roland Garros. It seems like both the sister mast be missing home and so their heading back early this time.
It was shocking to see Serena, the defending French Open champion and a 17-times major winner, lost to Garbine Murguruza of Spain with the score card being 6-2 6-2 and on the other hand older sister Venus lost to Anna Schmiedlova of Slovakia with the score being 2-6, 6-3, 6-4. This has happen for the first time that the William sisters are eliminated out of the major tournament so early.
Thought both the sisters are not much disappointed with defeat and have taken things with true sportsmen spirit saying that this is not the end of the world, Sometimes you win and sometime you even loose.
William sister have faced such defeats like this even before and that to on the same day at a major tournament twice, with the last coming in the fourth round at Wimbledon in 2011. The other time was at the French Open in 2008 in the third round. We can say this may be a matter of hard luck for the sisters.
Not the only the Williams siblings faced defeat this time but also defending Australian Champions Li Na and Stan Wawrinka also got eliminated in the first round. It is seen for the first time in the open era that the top two seeded women have lost before the third round at any Grand Slam tournament.
