Despite all the flops he had, all the controversies he went through, he is still amongst the top actors in Bollywood. I can honestly say He is the Godfather of Bollywood..
Amitabh Bachchan is fondly referred to as the Shahenshah of Bollywood. Shahrukh khan is called the Baadshah. Now we won’t be surprised if Salman khan is bestowed with the title of Godfather!
The Man with Golden Heart, Salman Khan has undoubtedly turned Bollywood’s biggest launch pad for newcomers. From actors, actresses, friends and even music composer, Salman has been in news for pushing new talents to gain momentum in the industry, most of them have become huge star today.
We have listed down some stars who heartily says Thanx to Godfather (Salman khan). In the list there are 11 Bollywood stars whom the Godfather helped to build their career in industry and some are today on the top.
1.Sajid Ali & 2. Wajid Ali :Brothers.
Among the most of all B-town glittering icons, we have this wonderful music composer duo who were suddenly the flavor of the season, after our Sallu bhai decided to give them a newcomers a huge break in Bollywood. Brothers Sajid Ali and Wajid Ali made their Boolywood debut with Salman’s 1998 hit Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya. As of today, they are Salman’s prime composers and it’s them, whom bhai trusts almost blindly as they keep belting out one melodious album after the one! They are the one who composed for films like Dabangg (2010) and Jai ho ,this year.
3.Himesh Reshamiya:
Very few people know that the Salman-Himesh bond dates back to almost as old as the 1998. Remember the crazy “Odhli Chunariya” number from Pyar Kiya Toh Darna Kya? Well the magical number was crafted by this talented music director. Salman helped Himesh yet another time with Tere Naam which brought him his first ever Award for the best Music director. That’s how Salman and Himesh created the iconic Teri Meri number from Bodyguard. Woww.
4.Hrithik Roshan:
Hrithik was launched by his dad Rakesh Roshan in kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai but not many know that it was Salman’s training that went into creating the Greek Godlike physique. More recently after his split with wife Sussanne, Hrithik reportedly spent a lot of time with ‘bhai’, pouring his heart out.
5.Katrina Kaif:
Salman’s ex, Katrina’s career would have been lost in oblivion if he didn’t rescue her after her debut debacle, Boom. From casting her in Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya? to deciding her initial film choice. Now she is a doll of bollywood .
6.Sneha Ullal:
Sneha, who’s often touted as a rebound for Salman after his breakup with Aishwarya Rai, because of their strikingly similar looks, was launched by him in Lucky: No Time for Love.
7.Mahek Chahal:
Mahek was mostly seen in Punjabi flims until Salman gave her a break in Wanted and Main Aur Mrs. Khanna. Later, in 2011 it was apparently Salman who recommended her name for the reality show Bigg Boss. “Salman is a mentor and has always guided me about my negatives,” Mahek was quoted saying.
8.Zareen Khan:
A complete new, Zareen bagged the leading role alongside Salman in Veer. Many believe that it was Zareen’s striking similarity with Salman’s ex, Katrina, attracted the superstar to her, and prompted him to give her a break.
9.Asin:
Asin made a grand debut with Aamir Khan in Ghajini (2008) but thereafter her career would have faded into thin air if Salman hadn’t given her a much-needed break in London Dreams (2009) and then in Ready (2011).
10.Sonakshi Sinha:
One of the Salman’s best discoveries, Sonakshi was apparently an overweight foodie until Salman asked her to lose weight as he decided to launch her in Dabangg.Salman kept his words and launched her in Dabangg, rest is history.
11. Hazel Keech:
Salman launched British model and actor Hazel Keech as the second lead in Bodyguard alongside himself. The film that was produced by his brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri was a big hit. Last year, Salman recommended her for Bigg Boss for her to garner some eyeballs.
Salman has decided to mentor his longtime loyal bodyguard Shera’s son as well. And, the list goes on…
