The Micromax Unite 2 A106 is a newly launched entry level Android KitKat operating system based dual-SIM smartphone by the Indian handset manufacturer – Micromax. Below are the detailed features and specifications of the device as per official information.
Hardware and Specifications:
The Micromax Unite 2 A106 is the first smartphone by Micromax to feature the latest version of Android – KitKat v4.2 operating system out of the box. The device supports dual-SIM connectivity and is powered with 1.3 GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6582M chipset. In terms of memory, the device has 1 GB RAM and 4 GB internal memory that could be further expanded using microSD card slot on board the device.
Screen and Design:
Coming to the screen of Micromax Canvas Unite 2, it features a 4.7″ WVGA IPS LCD with capacitive touch screen. The screen has 480 x 800 pixels resolution that gives an effective pixel density of about 198 PPI.
As of now there’s not much details regarding the design of the device, however we feel, the device features the typical Micromax design as seen on other Micromax’s Android smartphones.
Camera and Multimedia:
It has 5 MP primary rear facing camera with auto/touch focus. The primary camera is capable of HD (720p) quality video recording and has other common features including geo-tagging, panorama shots, etc. It also has a 2 MP secondary fixed-focus front facing camera that could be used for video calling and snapping self-portraits.
Software and Features:
The Micromax Unite 2 is the first handset from Micromax to boot with Android v4.2 KitKat operating system. Just like all other Micromax devices, it’ll also have minor UI/UX changes customized by Micromax.
In terms of other software features, it comes preloaded with common apps and features including image/video editor, document reader, photo viewer, Gmail, Google Search, Maps, Hangouts, Youtube, etc.
Battery and Connectivity:
The smartphone is loaded with a 2,000 mAh battery on board which should be good enough to keep the device powered at least for an entire day even with heavy usage.
Connectivity options in the device includes dual-SIM, FM radio, 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0 & Micro USB v2.0.
