Maria sharapova has proved the world that how much important is winning to her. For the third straight year, the Russian superstar has made it to the French open final. The 27 year-old Sharapova has been ranked seventh in her year’s French Open was also a winner in 2012 as she displayed her brilliant performance in the form of never-say-die spirit against Canadian Eugenie Bouchard with a score 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 in the semi-finals. On the other hand Romanian player Simona Halep proved to be a strong component for Germany’s Andrea Petkovic, winning the other semi-final with a score 6-2, 7-6 (7/4).
Maria sharapova, who is termed as the biggest-earning sportswoman in the world, will be eyeing a fifth Grand slam title, having completed her career Grand Slam two years ago in Paris. It also comes to our notice that Sharapova’s opponent Simona Halep had once undergone a breast reduction surgery to improve her game will become the first ever Romanian to contest a Grand Slam final.
Sharapova is the undefeated leader as far as French Open is concerned winning a three-set game for a record 19th time on clay with just one lost against Justine Henin at Roland Garros.
So even though Sharapova is everyone’s favourites expecting her only to win the game, Simona Halep can play her own game as she vies to win her first ever Major Grand Slam.
Thus we wish both the player ‘All the Very best’ and hope that the best one wins!
