Bollywood has seen many great actors and actresses make their mark in the industry. Yes, talent is what brings them to this grandeur and gets them all the success and fame. But when we see stars turning into superstars, we often fail to recognize the struggle behind coming this far. Reaching a certain peak is satisfactory and success is sweet and worth it only when the struggle and sacrifices made for it is challenging enough. A feeling of content comes only when a person starts from scratch on his/her own merit without any help.
One such personality is the legendary superstar, also known as the Baadshah (King) of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan. His life has been an inspiration to many people and he is considered a true ideal. The way he came up from the dust without any sort of backup is one of the main reasons for which he is idealized. Starting his acting career with a small budget TV serial called “Fauji”; playing the part of a soldier of the Indian Army to today where he has given thousands of super hits and is the winner of several academy and film fare awards. The journey of his progress is remarkable. His film “Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge” was one of the biggest breaks that he got and after that he never looked back.
With excellent directors like Yash Chopra and Karan Johar, Shah Rukh gave hits one after the other like he was firing torpedoes in a war. Some of his best remembered movies are “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” “Kal Ho Na Ho” “Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham” “Mohhabbatin” “Dil Se” “Pardes” “Om Shanti Om” “My Name Is Khan” and “Chakde India”. His acting skills are what make him the best and the emotions and the intensity at which he performs leaves the audience spellbound.
Shah Rukh is a diplomatic person by nature; he handles the media with a lot of maturity and presence of mind which shows how experienced and perfect he is with his work. He is misunderstood to be arrogant and proud at times but I feel that for a person who has seen so much of a struggle and who is so successful in his life, a little self-obsession and pride isn’t bad. In fact, that’s the only way he could have survived. His confidence is his strength and there is no SRK without his confidence. Such great people are true sources of motivation and we gain a lot from their life sojourn.
