India is known for many things all over the world. Here’s a list of things India is famous for and Indians should definitely take pride in it.
1. Mahatma Gandhi:
Mahatma Gandhi the father of our nation India is one of the most obvious reasons to identify India. He played a major role in independence of India and his ideologies like Satyagraha, Salt March etc became popular and well known all over the world. He represents India and considered one of the greatest leaders till date even after many decades of his death!
2. Heritage:
Every country has its own heritage, so does India. India has 30 World Heritage Sites which are recognized by UNESCO and is even famous for its amazing tourist attractions. There are not just mountains, lakes, temples, churches, desserts, forests which are beautiful and to be visited but India’s many art forms like sculpture, dance forms, music etc are also loved by everyone, all over the world! While we are talking about the heritage, how can we forget Taj Mahal which is one of the 7 wonders of the world?
3. Diversity:
India has always been a country of diversity compared to other countries. India’s diversity in terms of food, culture, clothing, customs, traditions, language etc is her beauty and is something that makes her different and known for all over the world. In a single state you will find people talking 5 different languages, having different attire, different food choice and cuisines, religions with different traditions and customs.
4. Festivals:
When I say India is country of diversity, it even includes beautiful, colorful festivals. Every religion celebrating their festival and you know what’s so special about this? It’s the way they celebrate- together! It’s not only the Gujaratis who play Garba during Navaratri but you will find people of different religions too enjoying this and celebrating it!
5. Vastness:
India is the second most populous country in the world and the largest democracy! I am not just talking in terms of land and accommodation of so many differences in one country but also in terms of her history, geography, diversity and democracy.
