Samsung Electronics has unveiled another smartphone which is a combination of a smartphone and a camera – the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom. This is a second such combination by the South Korean Tech-giant, previous one was the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom released in last July. TheGalaxy K Zoom is powered by a combined 1.3GHz quad-core and 1.7 dual-core processor, runs the Android 4.4 KitKat OS and has a 4.8-inch HS touchscreen.
The 20.7 megapixel rear camera comes with retracting lens technology that provides 10x optical zoom. It includes an Optical Image Stabilizer to reduce blur caused by movement and a Xenon flash that Samsung said provides a brighter light than LEDs. Camera features include ‘Auto Focus/Auto Exposure Separation’ which the company said provides the right balance of light and clarity, ‘Pro Suggest mode’ which offers 10 optimized filter settings and a ‘Selfie Alarm’.
Other features include video recording and playback in HD, ‘Ultra Power Saving Mode’ to minimize battery consumption, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory that can be expanded by up to 64GB with a microSD card.
Additional features are the Ultra Power Saving Mode, which minimizes battery consumption, personalized fitness and lifestyle coach the S Health Lite, and Studio, which allows users to easily edit their pictures and videos.
The Galaxy K zoom comes is three colours, Charcoal Black, Electric Blue and Shimmery White.
