Mark Zuckerberg better known as the co-founder of the social networking site “facebook” He is an American computer programmer, internet enterprenaur, philanthropist & a self made billionaire. He along with his four friends Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz & Chris Hughes launched facebook from Harvard’s dormitory rooms & then introduced facebook onto other campuses nationwide. He is currently the Chairman& CEO of facebook, Inc.
Zuckerberg was born on May 14, 1984 in white Plains, New York. He is the son of dentist Edward Zuckerberg &psychaiartist Karen Kempner. He started his education at Ardsley High School where he excelled in classics. He was a very bright & active student in his school years. Later than he transferred to Havard University for his graduation. His intrest in programming was probably developed by his father who taught him Atari BASIC programming in 1990s. By the time he began classes at Havard, Zuckerberg had already achieved a reputation as a “programming prodigy” he at the time he was in Havard launched a site named “facemash” which was an online fashion contest but the site was being forced closed & Zuckerberg was asked to appogize for breaking the rules of Havard University.
On February 4, Zuckerberg launched facebook. Six days after the facebook was launched, three Havard seniors, Cameron Winklevoss, Tyler Winklevoss, &DivyaNarendra accused Zuckerberg for intentionally misleading them into believing he would help them to build a social network called Havardconnection.com & they filed the lawsuit against Zuckerberg that resulted in for settlement of 1.2 million facebook shares valued US $300 million at facebook’s IPO.
After many of his allegations & many lawsuits facebook has now turned into a giant social network with more than 1.5 billion active users worldwide. Since 2010 Time magazine has named Mark Zuckerberg the 100 wealthiest & most influential people of the world& named him the person of the year in 2011. He is ranked first amongst the influential Jews of the world.
