“King of Bollywood” or “Badshah of Bollywood” or “King Khan” or “King of romance” all these credits are given to only one person in Bollywood who is none other than Shahrukh Khan who is an Indian actor, producer, television personality and philanthropist.
His work in Bollywood has garnered him with title along with many other achievements such as fourteen time Filmfare award winner. Padmashri award by Indian government in 2005, & the ordre des Arts et des Lettres by government of France in 2007 & he is also the named as the second richest actor in the world with a net worth of $600 million.
SRK was born on 2nd November 1965 in New Delhi, India, & was brought up in Manglore for the first five years of his life. His father Meer Taj Mohammed Khan was an Indian independence activist from Peshawar, British India. Growing up in Rajendra Nagar SRK attended St. Columba’s School where he received the school’s highest award, the sword of honor.
He enrolled at Hansraj College to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Economics but spend much of his time at the Delhi’s “Theatre Action Tag” He also attended National School of Drama, Delhi during his early career in Bollywood. He lost his parents at a very tender age and often describes that their parent’s early death was turning point in his life & his biggest motivation for the hard work.
Khan first acted on the small screen in the television series Fauji where he played the leading role of Commando Abhimanyu Rai in critically acclaimed show and this critically acclaimed show gave him another chance in television series of Aziz Mirza’s Circus. After making very successful debuts at the small screen the big screen was not far.
In 1991 he got his first break in Hema Malini’s directorial debut Dil Aashna Hai but due to production delay Deewana was turned out to be his first film & after that due to his dedication and hard work he has gained the mass recognition and the status which he has earned in his life time. & the tag he has been crowned with the “King of Bollywood”.
