Hello chunks!! Bring those noodle packets from your closet and revamp your taste buds by adding new savor. Here are some mouth-watery recipes.
Noodles bhajji:
Ingredients:
Noodles, masala flavor – 1 pack, broken into pieces.
Gram flour – 150 gm
Water – 2 and ¼
Coriander leaves, Mint leaves, Palak leaves – ½ cup
Cumin powder – ÂĽ tsp
Chilli powder – ¼ tsp
Salt – To taste
Oil – 1 cup, to deep fry
Method:
Boil the noodles sprinkling masala powder. Remove from flame when it is almost cooked. Combine the gram flour with Âľ cup of water and salt to make thick dripping batter. Add all the leaves with cumin and chilli powder. Stir in the noodles. Drop small portions of the batter into sizzling oil. Deep fry until golden brown and crisp. Serve hot.
American chopsuey:
Ingredients:
Noodles – 2 packets
Onion – 1, sliced thinly
Cabbage – 2 cups, shredded
Carrot – 1cup, julienned
Capsicum – 1 cup, julienned
Pineapple – 1 cup, chopped
Green chilli – 1, slit
Corn flour – 1 cup, dissolved in 2 cups of water
Tomato ketchup – 1 cup
Orange food color – 1 cup
Sugar – 3 tbsp
Salt – To taste
Refined oil – 2 cups
Method:
Break the noodles into finger sized sticks. Boil it in hot water with a spoon of refined oil. Drain the water and deep fry till the noodles turn golden and crispy. Once cool, break it into pieces. Heat oil and sauté onion, green chillies. Add carrot, cabbage, pineapple and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes. In a pan, combine the ketchup, liquid corn flour, orange food color, capsicum, sugar and salt. When it forms a thick sauce add the sautéed vegetables. Stir well. Sprinkle the crispy noodles. Serve hot.
Noodles bhel puri:
Ingredients:
Noodles – 1 packet
Tastemaker – 1 packet
Potato – 1, boiled and cubed
Onion – 1, chopped
Sev, puffed rice, papdi – 1 cup, crushed
Sweet chilli sauce – a tbsp
Dates syrup – 2 tbsp
Coriander leaves – ¼ cup, finely chopped
Method:
Roast the noodles dry until golden. Combine the boiled potato with onion, sev, puffed rice, papdi and add the noodles. Toss the sweet chilli sauce, dates syrup and masala tastemaker in a bowl gently with the noodles mixture. Serve immediately. Garnish with coriander leaves and sev.
