Arsenal dropped points again after their 2 – 2 draw against Everton last weekend. They were away playing against newly promoted Leicester City who have a tough fixture drawing Everton in the first match while losing against Chelsea. They have to play the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool in the few weeks’ time so it was important for them to get something out of Arsenal who aren’t up to the mark yet.
Arsenal were without Olivier Giroud so it was a chance for young teenager YaYa Sanogo to shine in the Arsenal shirt. Arsenal opened the scoring with the new star signing Alexis Sanchez but Leicester did bounce back and the scores were leveled. There were plenty of opportunities missed by both the teams in the second half. Chances were there but the game ended 1-1 and a point a piece for both the teams. YaYa Sanogo was poor but it is early days for him and he has to perform later, Sanchez and Mesut Ozil seem to get into top form as they don’t look at top as of yet. While Santi Cazorla was Arsenal’s best attacker in the match and it will be important for him to not only create chances but also score since Arsenal don’t have a 20-30 goals per season striker as of now.
Arsenal will be playing Manchester City at home after the international break and it is surely a tough fixture to win for Arsene Wenger whose team has got 5 points in 3 matches of Barclays English Premier League. As of now Arsenal just don’t seem as title challengers with Chelsea and Manchester City looking stronger but these are early days and there is an entire season remaining let us see what Wenger is capable of.
