The 3 most important saints have some relevance and thus we intercede to them.
- St Michael known as the arch angel.
He is a saint of crushing the demons in the name of Jesus. There is also a church in mahim by the name of Saint Michael’s church. This saint is considered very powerful and the devil can be drives away if you just pray to him. Novenas are being said in this church of mahim. Where 1000s of people come from different parts of Mumbai to come to attend perpetual succour novenas. It is a 9 day novenas of pray and belief. Anything asked with a good intention and a pure heart will be granted. While the family prayers together in their homes after saying the rosary it is always good to say the St. Michael arch angel prayer. It keeps the family and its members away from the tricks of the Satan. As he is a Satan who crushes the demon under his feet and has a sword that he used to kill the Satan.
Satan or the devil formally known as Lucifer he was one of the angels of god. God is mighty and powerful and the angels his followers. Lucifer could not see god being the powerful one and jealously came into him. God had warned him that he should not complete against him. But he thought no end of himself and thus tried to compete against him. That is why we say where there is god there is devil. Just like where there is good there is evil. St Jude is the cousin of our saviour Jesus Christ. His feast is celebrated on 28th October. He is a saint that can make all the hopeless cases possible. Therefore people pray to saint Jude. Whenever they have any problem like conceiving is impossible and miscarriages happen, intercede to Saint Jude and all things will be fine. He is another powerful saint. His full name is saint Jude Thaddeus. His statue is kept in our lady of Fatima church sewree. The day of his prayer is every Thursday. There are 9 days novenas on the occasion of the feast of Saint Jude. Catholic churches have different communities within their churches one of the communities could be St. Jude. A prayer to saint Jude is recited in church along with a hymn to saint Jude. He is the patron of hopeless cases and of things despaired of. Saint Jude is a special and powerful patron and all will must be done. Saint Jude has definitely helped a lot of people. Come with your desirable needs some day and bow down to the feet of Saint Jude he will definitely make things possible through the name of Jesus.
- St Anthony.
St Anthony another powerful saint. His shrine is near nakpada. This saint is one saint who little children pray to. Many little children are seen praying and bowing down to him. Whoever is in need and is in trouble an bow down to saint Anthony he will make things fine. The day you can pray to him is Tuesdays. Although there is no harm in praying daily mostly people say saint Anthony prayers on Tuesdays. In case if you have lost something precious, something of your need. You cannot find it and you have lost the will of getting it back you can pray and ask him to find it for you. While I was young my mom told me stories about this saint saying he will find it for you. Although I used to pray for small things like pencils and erasers and the big things for me was my ink pen. I still used to get my ink pen. That little faith of mine and that little lamp of faith made me believe I can make things right by just praying and having a firm faith on god and on saints that I used to intercede to.
However prayers can make you move mountains these are just the 3 saints that I have talked about there are many more saints that have actually done great works and knowing about them actually helps in changing your mind set of doing great things in a small way.
Mother Teresa has become the greatest saints of all times. Wining Nobel prizes and working fearlessly with the leper’s patients. She is a great gift to mind kind. We all must learn more and more from here to change the world with little good deeds. Our good works should be an example to others.
Saint Augustine a yet another great saint with his great deed and action, he has made things right. He is a perfect example of the saying every sinner has a future and saint had a past. He was a person who uses to indulge in many bad habits. Bad books, women, and all sorts of bad habits. He had no direction in life. He didn’t know what all he was getting into. He was living in sin. In the grieve sin of worldly pleasures and lust. People hatred him and had options of him that he is a disgusting man and nothing could change him. But he did change and it is only the love of god that changed him. When he realised what the lord is and how the lord has changed him into a better man. He submitted himself to the lord. And went out preaching about the lord and also stopped all his bad works. He knew he is delivered from sin. He didn’t sink and down in self-pity. He accepted the fact that he is also a child of god and that god loves him. It is easy to forgive others but very difficult to forgive your own self.
