“Earning more and more” is the motive behind doing BMS (Management Course)? Is it justifiable?
Getting a good experience and exposure to corporate environment should be the motto for BMS graduate. Monetary benefits will be available depending on the knowledge you are offering on the table.
Is the Name of the Institute from where a student does his/her BMS important while entering into corporate world?
Depends on the company’s requirement. Big companies will always prefer candidate with good academics whereas SMEs may rate experience much higher than academics. According to me, name of the institute does not matter much during BMS but it is very much essential during MBA. Lot depends on the course content and the facilities provided to hone your skills. Numbers of management institutes in India are mushrooming like anything. It is very important to understand your potential and target few renowned universities that will give you the best guidance and facilities in your desired field. Always check for the university rankings, accreditation and city life if it’s a foreign university.
What message would you like to give to the students aspiring to work at management level?
Thorough planning of your future. I will recommend do not just opt for PG after BMS. Experience is highly rated in a country like India. Gain atleast 3 to 5 years experience before doing Masters. That will even help you in understanding certain concepts during Masters.
