1) Ram Naik is the Governor of Uttar Pradesh who was part of the NDA rule and held the Oil and Natural Gas portfolio.
2) He played an instrumental role in the formation of Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation during his tenure as a Railway Minister.
3) He ended his political career in September 2013 by not contesting in Lok Sabha Elections 2014.
4) In July 2014, he became the Governor of Uttar Pradesh. As Indians believe strongly in Ramayana and Mahabharata, he stated that Ram Mandir should be made in Ayodhya as soon as possible as this is what the Indians want and he has been active on this issue since the start.
