An Apple a day keeps the doctor away!! This is perhaps the most used quote and the most followed one. And it is not only for Apple but also for the other fruits which not only satisfies our taste buds but also helps a lot for a fabulous skin. So here is my new article on fruits (my favorite ones!!) Those not only make a fab snack but are also awesome remedies for our skin problems:

strawberry
1) Strawberry-

Did you know that these conical shaped beauties can do much more than satisfy your irresistible sweet tooth? Strawberries are super fruits, bursting with powerful anti-oxidants and loads of vitamin C that will provide your skin with nourishing nutrients for healthy happy skin. Research shows that people who eat foods rich in vitamin C have fewer wrinkles and age related skin problems than those who don’t. Strawberry extracts are often used as an ingredient in skin cleansers, face washes, refreshing bubble baths and rejuvenating face masks as they contain vitamin C salicylic acid, antioxidants and exfoliants. Salicylic acid removes dead cells from the face while tightening the pores.

red grapes
2) Red Grapes-

If you have really dry skin or an inflammatory skin condition, like psoriasis or eczema, red grapes should be your go-to fruit. It’s believed that red grapes (and their seeds) contain super strong and natural antioxidants and chemicals that can help treat common skin conditions. The skin and seeds of red grapes contains resveratrol that controls the ageing process. Resveratrol is a strong antioxidant that helps to maintain the health of the skin. Red grapes possess antibacterial and antiviral properties. Thus, they protect you from many infections. The antiviral properties are also useful to fight against the polio virus and herpes simplex virus.

3) Mango-

Mango is loved by thousands and thousands of Indians for having catered to their appetite for ages with its exotic sweetness and flavor, not many people are aware of the beauty benefits that this soft, juicy fruit is capable of. Mangoes can be amazing for your skin. Mango, which is rich in Vitamin A (beta-carotene), contains powerful anti-oxidants; thus, it helps in imparting a younger-looking skin. It helps to shield the skin from clogged pores and sun damages. It helps to delay the visible signs of ageing of the skin, and also has a softening effect on it. Mango pulp can be applied on the face to keep the skin soft and supple. It is suited to all skin types. It is an anti-oxidant and used regularly, it can reverse oxidation damage.

apple

4) Apple-

Vitamin C helps you make collagen, a protein found abundantly in your skin. Collagen is a crucial structural component of skin and helps maintain your skin’s waterproof barrier. Apples also provide a source of copper, an essential mineral that contributes to healthy skin. Copper helps you make melanin, the brown-black pigment that colors your skin. Melanin in your skin protects you from the sun’s ultraviolet rays, so being able to produce melanin provides natural sun protection. Vitamin A plays an important role in skin development — it helps immature skin develop into mature and functional skin tissue. Vitamin A might also reduce the risk of skin cancer.

orange
5) Orange-

Oranges can have many positive effects on your skin. Not only does eating them give you a great boost of vitamin A and C, which your skin needs to be healthy, but the citric acid found in an orange’s juices can be used in rejuvenating skin products. Oranges are rich in vitamin C, which your body needs to make collagen. The citric acid found in oranges is also part of the chemical group alpha hydroxyl acids, which are powerful exfoliates that remove dead skin cells and cleanse your pores, helping prevent acne. Citric acid, part of the alpha hydroxyl acid group, is a key component in skin products that reduce wrinkles and soften your skin.

banana
6) Banana-

Banana is great, not just for skin but overall health as well. There are many powerful nutrients in banana that makes it the perfect additional to your all natural face mask! Even the peel of the banana is worthy of mentioning because it contains a number of antioxidants and can be used as home remedy to cure allergies, bruises, mosquito bites, skin irritation, warts, treating acne, and wrinkles.   To use the peel in these situations, just apply a section of the banana peel to the affected areas and leave it on for half an hour every day until there is noticeable change.

papaya
7) Papaya-

Papaya is the best bet when it comes to skin care. It is a good source of Vitamin A and papain. Vitamin A acts as an anti-oxidant, while the papain breaks down inactive proteins and removes dead skin cells. The best feature of the fruit is its low sodium quality. Since the salt content is less, the water retention is also little. The result is an overall hydrated skin. Papaya is a great skin-firming and anti-aging mask. Mash the uneaten Papaya with or without milk and apply on your face. It helps in removing blemishes, dark spots, evens out your skin tone and brings a glow to your face. Use mashed papaya for cracked and sore heels.

THANK YOU!!!
