1) Tell us about yourself?

Being from science background I feared for subjects like Finance, Accounts but over time I realized that these were the most interesting subjects. I chose this field because I have interest in management. I love managing things! BMS is one of the most interesting fields, it gives you so much of knowledge regarding activities going around you and how to manage them.

2) How does it feel to be a Topper of the college in TY Semester V exams?

For me it was mixed feelings. Yes I was very happy but I really did not think that I would be the first in my college. It was an unexpected gift for me. I wish to get the same in 6th semester!! J

3) Whom will you credit your success to?

I will credit my success to all my teachers, mamma papa, and my god. My teachers have been very helpful, they were always there to guide me and help me with my doubts. So I give the credit to all of them. And how can I forget you guys! You have also been very helpful, the important topics concepts you suggested were very helpful while studying.

4) Did you start preparing from the first day of your TY Semester V?

No. not at all!  I started studying gradually as the exams were nearing. But yes I made a point to attend the lectures properly and keep up with the topics taught in class.

5) How did you study for Semester V?

For semester V there were no big timetables or something like that it was as normal as the previous semesters. In fact this time I was much relaxed unlike other semesters. I started studying a month before exams, I started with the subjects which were little tough or lengthy followed by the easier ones. I gave proper time to each subject depending upon its difficulty.

6) Which are the easy subjects in Semester V?

For me Human resource management and service sector management were the easy subjects as they were more interesting. And in this case I would like to thank my teacher Abha mam just who made it much easier and interesting.

7) Any special way of writing the answers? Do you write answers in bullet points or in paragraphs?

Starting an answer with introduction or a definition followed by the body and finally the conclusion is how I attempted the questions. I also supported my answers with proper examples especially in logistics. Yes I wrote answers in bullet points and the same is recommended to all. It makes your answer more presentable and also easy to read.

8) How do you crack case studies in theory and practical subjects?

I attempted them in last, I used certain amount of time only for them. Case studies is a good part of the theory paper as we are expected to attempt them in our own way.

9) Did you draw any diagram in any paper? Is it mandatory? Does it help to get more marks?

Yes, I did draw diagrams wherever needed. They also indicate the examiner that we know the particular answer properly. I don’t think it is mandatory but yes drawing them surely makes your answer look good and yes if there is no time for writing the answer then drawing a diagram or presenting the answer in diagrammatic way can help gain marks.

10)Any specific study pattern adopted i.e. timetable / how many hours per subject per day etc.?

As I said earlier, nothing as such I just started a month before exam and gave proper time to each subject. Everybody knows where they are weak and strong.

11) How do you fight against mood swings and distractions during exam preparation?

In this case my family supported me a lot I became quiet aggressive during exams but to overcome it I used to take breaks in between or listen to music or any other activity apart from studying for some time.

12) If you are made the Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University, what changes would you like to initiate in Indian education system?

If I were made the vice Chancellor of Mumbai University I would try to remove the donation taking corrupt activity which is seen in almost all the colleges these days. With the help of donations rich kids or those who can afford it get the chance to get into colleges while the ones who can’t afford have to adjust everywhere. Also the quota system is a big problem for the students who are from open category so I would try to come up with a solution to this!

13) Many students prepare sincerely but constantly live under fear that they are not from big college / not from English medium and eventually lose confidence. What message would you like to these students?

Frankly speaking, not coming from a big college has nothing to do with your career, it may have good effect but ultimately it is you who need to study and grow high in your career. Have faith, confidence in yourself. That’s it! this will help you rather than worrying over such things. Just give your best!

14) Through this struggle and success, what have you learned? What is the wisdom of life and competition?
I have learned that being positive is necessary. To have faith and confidence in oneself is very important. Talking about competition, it is something which makes your life challenging and interesting. Work smart rather than working hard, if you are determined nothing can stop you from achieving it!

15) Your feedback for BMS.co.in?
