1) Tell us about yourself?

I am from commerce background. I always wanted to do MBA so I thought BMS was the logical step in the direction of achieving my goal.

2) How does it feel to be a Topper of the college in TY Sem V exams?

It feels amazing to be rewarded for my hardwork and dedication to my studies and my goal.

3) Whom will you credit your success to?
I would like to thank my parents and family because without their support i can’t do anything. Also thanks to my supportive faculty who motivated and encouraged me all the times. And the most special friends of mine.

4) Did you start preparing from the first day of your TY Sem V?
The answer is No. Not at all. Ya I was practicing practical subjects.. But remaining theory subjects was started prior to 1 month before the exam.

5) How did you study for Sem V?
I don’t have any special pattern for study. Attending regular lectures and practising FM and SSF daily for 1 hr helps alot. But for theory subjects understanding the concepts is better way to remember. Only proper planning will help you during exam time.

6) Which are the easy subjects in Sem V?
My favourite practical subjects are FM and SSF. And in theory HRM and BE.

7) Any special way of writing the answers? Do you write answers in bullet points or in paragraphs?
No such special ways of writing the answers. Usually for long answer I just follow the series like starting answer with introduction then meaning/definition, main course of answer and ending with a conclusion. This helped me to score more marks.

8) How do you crack case studies in theory and practical subjects?

Case study can be solved by deeply understanding the concepts of each chapter as case study are related to syllabus only. Read the case carefully identify the problems and findout the possible solution.

9) Did you draw any diagram in any paper? Is it mandatory? Does it help to get more marks?
I do draw diagrams wherever it is necessary. Drawing diagrams helps to score more marks.

10)Any specific study pattern adopted i.e. timetable / how many hours per subject per ay etc.?
No. I don’t follow any specific timetable/ pattern for my studies. Giving more time for practical subjects helped me alot. Likewise for theory subjects also.

11) How do you fight against mood swings and distractions during exam preparation?

I try to take short break while studying to avoid mood swings. The major distraction is from cellphone. So I prefer to keep my cellphone off during study time.

12) If you are made the Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University, what changes would you like to initiate in Indian education system?

If I am made the Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University I would like to create more options for the students other than the usual Arts, Science & Commerce.
I would take initiatives that would make education a choice and not necessity for the students.
I would also like to make colleges to provide unlimited number of supplements to the students during exams.

13) Many students prepare sincerely but constantly live under fear that they are not from big college / not from English medium and eventually lose confidence. What message would you like to these students?

I would like to tell such students that only the students who are not competent enough require names of big colleges to look capable. And if you believe in yourself and your abilities you will be asked your name before the name of your college.

14) Through this struggle and success, what have you learned? What is the wisdom of life and competition?

Perhaps the most important thing I learned through this struggle is that competition is pointless. If you do your best and are satisfied with your performance you don’t need to compete or compare with anyone to feel successful.
