The ‘Academic Excellence Awards 2015’ organized by ManagementParadise.com and Prin. L. N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research (WeSchool), Matunga from 28th April to 30th April 2015 witnessed an overwhelming response from 300 Toppers of BMS, BMM, BAF, BBI, BFM courses of 100 Mumbai colleges.
The event was inaugurated with an address by Mr. Kartik Raichura, the CEO of ManagementParadise.com who extended a warm welcome to the audience present on behalf of the organizing team. He shared his experiences through a short tale that inspired the audience. A BMS alumni himself and an alumnus of the WeSchool, Kartik appealed to the students to follow the pursuit of excellence. He also highlighted the role of ManagementParadise.com and its subsidiary websites in revolutionizing the world of management education. “Small steps define huge success stories”, was the key takeaway for the students. Prof. Samir Karkhanis, the Head of Marketing & Business Development at WeSchool emphasized the evolving role and definition of “corporate leadership” in the context of today’s accelerated globalization, fast changing technologies, demanding clients and unpredictable socio-economic-political situations. He further also mentioned that, “Nurturing design thinking and innovation competencies are at the core of the Welingkar philosophy and WeSchool’s pioneering programs coupled with the Global Citizen Leadership Program (GCL) provides leadership and innovation knowledge along with an opportunity to learn and practice multi-disciplinary skills in a real-life context to holistically transform and lead betterment of self, organization and society”.
The event was glorified by the presence of distinguished personalities from the entertainment, literary and the social circles like Vipul Goyal, Aanjjan Srivastav, Iqbal Khan, Vinta Nanda, Faraaz Kazi, Vinod Ganatra, Kunwar Amarjeet Singh, Pooja Ghai, Vinod Pande, Bhavna Pani, Harsh Sachdev as guests of honour for the 3-day event.
Among the guests of honor, Indian television and Bollywood actor, Iqbal Khan spoke about importance of kindness and its role in our life. The famous theatre artiste and actor Aanjjan Srivastava spoke about how a degree is not everything, what you make of yourself is supreme. Indian contemporary dancer, television actor and Dance India Dance fame Kunwar Amarjeet Singh shared a very open and youthful chat with the audience. Later, it was the turn of the beautiful television actor, entrepreneur and high-profile wedding planner Pooja Ghai who added extra shine to the event and her words complemented with her smiles made the event feel complete.
The Academic Excellence Awards 2015 concluded with a closing note and a vote of thanks to all the attendees who attended the event, patrons who extended support to the event through all means and media who covered the event across the print, electronic and online platforms.
