Is A BMS Course Similar To BA and Bcom?
BMS course is required to teach essential skills to become a manager. As per Akhil Shah who is a BMS graduate of the year 2012, BMS didn’t help him out to sustain in the job market.
Hence, he has opted for MBA and part-time jobs to learn about the corporate world.
According to him, course like BMS is nothing but a fad among the youngsters thinking that they will get better salary and prospects to enter into the corporate world.
But he feels that these subjects are so much similar to BA and BCom courses that students end up paying 30k for 3 years and live under the assumption that they are better than other students, which is not true.
Ideally, BMS Team feels that it depends on person to person of how he takes up the opportunities that are offered in the course. Although the subject matter maybe same, but the college faculty and the student’s interest levels matters the most to decide if after BMS, he will become a manager or would he still require more time to clear his concepts and enter the corporate world.
