World Hypertension Day is celebrated on 17th May 2015. The day is initiated by the World Hypertension League which in itself is an umbrella to organizations of 85 national hypertension societies and leagues. The day aims to increase the awareness of hypertension. The day was firstly launched in 2005 and every year the day is observed worldwide.
