Below are some tips that may help you clear your forthcoming ATKT exams:

The OR Paper consists of 5 chapters divided into 4 major units.

For Numerical, focus on the below chapters:

1. Graphical LPP- formulation and graphical solution- very basic simple sums. Only refer last 5 years papers
2. Simplex- Minimization method- case studies to be asked here. Only refer last 5 years papers
3. Sensitivity – you may skip this
4. Assignment- Minimization, maximization and restricted route type- Only refer last 5 years papers
5. VAM -Transportation (including MODI and degeneracy). This could be asked as case, also solve sums where the VAM is already solved and given
6. Decision sciences- tree diagram, EMV, EPPI, EOL- very simple basic sums
7. Maximin, Minimax, Alpha , Laplace and Minimax regret in Decision theory
8. CPM- Floats and Forward and backward path computations- very simple basic sums
9. PERT- Only refer last 5 years papers
10. Crashing- Only refer last 5 years papers

For theory, focus on the following topics:

1. Constraints in LPP
2. Infeasibility in Graphical and Simplex
3. Redundancy in graphical and simplex
4. Iso profit line in graphical
5. Slack, surplus and artificial variables in simplex
6. Shadow prices in simplex
7. Degeneracy in transportation

10. Objectives of crashing
11. 3 Time estimate in PERT

13. Decision making under risk and uncertainty
14. Decision tree
15. Perfect information in decision theory
