Explain Meaning of Transactional analysis.
Ans.   Transactional Analysis is a theory of personality and Interpersonal communication. It is a useful tool for helping p le to understand and improve their interactions with others, both at work and in their private lives.
When two people interact with each other there results a social transaction. Transactional Analysis (TA) is the study of social transactions between people.
TA was introduced by Eric Berne. He started the TA movement with his book “Games People Play.” TA was popularized by Thomas Harris in the 1960s. He wrote the book “I Am OK – You Are OK.”
TA is defined as “the study of moves people make in their dealings with each other and is based on the idea that people’s interactions resemble moves in games.”
The objective of TA is to provide better understanding of how people relate to one another. This can be used to improve communication between people and developing healthy human relationships.
