‘Guru’ is a well-versed Sanskrit word which means elder teacher. From the beginning of a child’s life he comes across the Gurus which one or the other moulds him in order to become a valuable citizen and a moral human. The basic ideology of a person is that the Guru or also known as the teacher is only responsible for furnishing the academic roots of a child but interestingly it is not so. A teacher can inspire and leave a print on a person’s heart forever. Guru is responsible for transforming a human to an overall developed person sprouting and excelling in all the fields.
A client has various options to choose a plot size to which enchants him in order to design his dream home for real, likely, a student right from childhood meets various teachers which architects their life to build themselves confidently and alive in future. They are the replica of our beloved and most respected Gods and Parents. They have always been a part and parcel of a student’s life. A teacher has always been a helping hand right from learning ABC’s, the 26 letters of English, till the ABC’s of management. Like the flowers attracts people with its enchanting fragrance a teacher becomes an idol because of its positive and rejuvenating potential.
After my enrollment to Bachelor of Management Studies, I realized that my college is pre-loaded with 10-12 teachers who are talented and there was one professor who caught my attention and founded to be the impressive and outstanding personality. A different spark in her face, the overwhelmingly attractive attitude, the graceful personality and the pretty looks can enchant anybody’s mind. She is outstandingly amazing and deserves to be called as a favorite one.
She is my Management Guru Ms. Krupa Shah.
Prof. Krupa Shah is an Associate Professor at D.G. Ruparel College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Matunga, for the department of management studies. She graduated in Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com). She is very keen and passionate in studying. She had completed her Master of Business Administration course in finance department and also Union Grant’s Commission- National Entrance Test (UCG-NET). The day she joined as a professor she has been enlightening the management students with her vast, profound and fruitful knowledge which have been becoming boon to the students.
Other than educational qualification she is versatile in all creative works. She is fond of reading which includes newspapers, novels or anything that is resourceful. She has the habit of reading newspapers daily especially business news to keep her updated with the fast growing economy. Before becoming a teacher she was working in a renowned bank HDFC.
Her education achievements include her golden moment of being MBA topper of 2008 batch from Gujarat University. Apart from academics she is also a good orator and had participated in various state level events of elocution in Gujarat. She has won many laurels.
She has been teaching subjects like Banking and Insurance and also Productions and Materials Management for us and other subjects to different standards of BMS. Nearly in her 20’s she has been excellent achievement and is perfect role model.
She has an aspiration and commitment for teaching which is known by each and every BMS student very well. She is the teacher who likes to be associated with the students and loves to share things with them. For students she is a like a mother. She has an absolute fascination for teaching. She loves children and children are loved by her. Her dedication to teaching can be compared with a pilot. A pilot takes the responsibility for the safe flight and landing the passengers, that is, one ensures the safety of his passengers. Similarly her dedication and love for teaching is as massive as a pilot and she ensures that every student pass out with flying colors. Even the ruthless and fatuous doubt of a child is taken into consideration by her.
She believed in taking out the students from bookish world and making them aware about the corporate world. Apart from studies her teaching style is totally different. Conducting daily viva was one of her strategy to give extra knowledge to students. Viva included in finding information, problems about different companies, stock market, etc. She cultivated extra ordinary things in students like performing skit on Banking and Insurance topics. The logic behind this notion was to expose students to the business world.
She has a unique style of teaching. She believes that “Study becomes more valuable if it is best applied in a more practical way”. She is of the kind who proves the phrase ‘action is louder than words‘. That is, she acts rather than boasting with words. Because of her my college memories are filled with unique and grateful experiences. To have a practical approach towards the subject of Productions and Materials Management she gave the class the task of making a desired product and polishing our mind with creativity. Hence, me and my group came out with a perfume named “Belle”. This whole experience was unforgettable and beneficial for future.
All in all Prof. Krupa Shah is exemplary. Coming from a science background and facing the management studies looked a little complicated for me but her presence and guidance was totally adorable. May be that’s why teachers a.k.a Guru is considered next to God because they are as gentle and as lively as God. They have a superficial power to take student’s heart away.
