Guru is verily the representative of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. He creates, sustains knowledge and destroys the weeds of ignorance. I salute such a Guru.
The most important criterion for my favorite teacher is devotion to the subject he teaches. My favorite professor is Prof. Ganesh Achwal. He is a multi-skilled personality – a Professor by curiousness and a Radio Jockey (RJ) by profession.
Yes… by profession he is a RJ who is serving Government channel from approximately 20 long years. Also he takes vocal classes and trainee students for singing and being RJ, runs a Digital Audio Recording Studio and is journalist and writes for various magazines like Premier Amhi Parlekar Marathi Maya.com and for Mumbai Times newspaper.
He has completed his Masters in Arts, Gold Medalist in L.L.B. and Journalism and has a core teaching experience of 13 years and is in the field of BMS for past 6 years and has done specialization in many fields.
Prof. Achwal is with us from S.Y.B.M.S. teaching various subjects like Marketing Management, Co-operatives and Rural Markets Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibilities and now with his favorite subject Indian Management Thoughts and Practices. Besides teaching BMS he also teaches BMM and B.Com subjects like Law, Economics and Human Resource Management.
Good teaching is as much about passion as it is about reason…. It’s about caring for our craft, having a passion for it, and conveying that passion to everyone, most importantly to us. Prof. Achwal has various inbuilt qualities like Passion for the subject, empathy towards students, creativity, presentation skills, and calm in nature and respect towards student and most importantly unbiased nature for students.
As we know that all students have different grasping power and different mental abilities, Prof Achwal has a unique ability to approach students. Whatsoever the concept is, at the end of the lecture he clears student’s doubts, for which he uses many tactics for instance role playing, giving live examples, by power-point presentations, solving case studies and if necessary also by inviting guest lecturer.
He loves to acquaint student every now and then by conducting seminars, motivating students, delivering speeches at various college as well as cultural occasion and he shows keen interest in the welfare and development of the students.

I enjoy his company because for me he is just more than a professor who cherish every moment of life with us. He comes with us to Industrial Visits and movies. It remembers him of his college days and he reveals the fun he had during his college days. And though he is our visiting faculty he helps us and encourages us during our inter-collegiate events.
He has a good judgmental power and I really admire his concept of “thinking out of the box” for every situation in life for getting success. We always implement his teaching in our activities for achieving glory. I really thank God for spreading such a bright lamp in our life by inviting him in my life. And I wish he be the touch bearer and guide me throughout my life.
