Nexus is an annual inter collegiate festival hosted by the students of the BMS Department of K.P.B Hinduja College of Commerce and Economics, that first came into inception in the year 2010. It aims to deliver experiential learning to foster in students; the professionalism, collaboration, ability to work hard, take rational decisions, and develop high thinking and sensitization to social needs. Our festival provides students with a unique platform for exploration and application of their abilities.
Being one-of-a-kind management festival Nexus believes in making one-of-its-kind events, that will help students realize their talents, harness their potential and apply it in the direction leading to overall personality development. We create events that push participants to their utmost, while ensuring that they have the time of their lives, thereby fulfilling both management and fun quotient of NEXUS. There is something in store for everyone’s wish list.
In our short span of existence, we have already established a reputation as one of the most loved college events. In the end, that’s what Nexus is about. It’s about the talent, the energy, the passion, the fun and the learning. It’s about you. About Theme
When we had to pick a theme for Nexus this year we had only one major criteria, that everyone should be able to relate to it. We needed something that was Universal. Something that was vibrant. Something that dreams were made of. And also something we could spin our festival around, yes. So after a lot of brain storming and referencing and debating and putting all our heads together -three hundred and fifty of those, mind you- we finally came up with an answer; Cartoons. Apart from the obvious fun element the thing about Cartoons is this- you can connect to them on another level, at any age. You can be that awesome super hero, that evil mastermind, that teenage witch who has everything sorted in life or that monkey who is smarter than most humans. They’re all a part of you, each and everyone of those characters. Cartoons are zany, unrealistic and mostly unpredictable. That’s why they provide us with the perfect escape from our routines. Keeping this in mind Nexus aims at spinning the fine tapestry of fantasy around the world of Cartoons. Nexus as a tradition always has its events catered around it’s theme and we always put our own touch to everything. That being said, our theme this year will officially be known as ‘TOONEX’, that comes with huge amounts of contagious unbridled child like energy. We’d love for you to be a part of our world.
