‘MUMBAI UNIVERSITY’ – now – ‘BOMBAY TALKIES’

Results fever which was rising & setting with various rumors of result declaration have now completely ceased as by now 90% of the students have forgot which paper was – Good, Bad & Average.

MU’s attitude has made every BMSites feel:

‘Atta Majhi Satakli’

After returning from Christmas Vacation, every morning my back bencher use to ask me same question, ‘Results ka kuch pata chala’ & I used to give some random dates & then answer later began to use 2 simple words ‘No Idea’. But since last one week instead of asking anything she just ‘Raises Her Eyebrow’ for which I ‘turn my lips down’ & then we both ‘Giggle’. So good at expressions, aren’t we?

Infact I remember a comment which my batch mate passed when a Prof. angrily enquired about the delay in submission of project , ‘Jab Sem 5 ka results ayega tab’ … For which the other guy said, ‘Aree chup rahe, pata chala ki aaj hi gaya’. To this the prof. just smiled.

Facebook status in the late Dec – early Jan were, ‘Results kab aayegeya’, ‘Results can be anytime between ***-***’, ‘Bas paas ho jaaauuu’. Now it has changed to, ‘MU- Aapne pass hi rakho results’ & ‘Sem 6 ke results ke saath ayega results’ followed by some 😉 & :p .

Today was the height. I tried to call MU directly & get a final date & end all the trauma & tension for which I prepared some hi-fi Marathi lines to make an impression. But to a sad note both the numbers were busy. To this my ‘Nirupa Roy’ types mom who becomes ‘Shashikala’ & ‘Lalita Pawar’ just by the name of results laughed at my frustration & said, ‘Shayad papers check karne me busy honge’.

Bombay Talkies have closed years before & now has just become a landmark. It seems like MU have tied its shoe lace to become the Bombay Talkies-II initially with full of suspense & now sheer comedy.

Now I am just counting days when MU will say:

‘Aali re aali … aata tujhi baari aali’

For which I will reply:

‘Meri zarooratein kum hai … isliye mere zameer mein dum hai’

(Zaroortien in terms of marks)
