- Were you expecting to top in the exams? To whom would you credit this success to?
I wasn’t expecting but was trying my level best to top. I give credit to my God & parents.
- Did you prepare religiously from day One or A few weeks before the exams?
Before two months I started preparing for the exams with complete concentration & with a prayer before I would start studying.
- How did you allot time to different subjects?
I had allotted days for each subject and would try to complete that subject within that allotted days. Yes, I did prepare a timetable after comparing syllabus of each subject.
- Can you share some insights on how to crack the subjects before exams?
Human Resource Management, Special Studies in Finance and Logistics & supply chain management were easy subjects.
If there is a proper definition which you can relate with the question you can mention it soon after the meaning. Underline the author’s name and then start with the points. Leave a line after each point and underline it. Once you finish with the points give a short conclusion.
Tips- Prepare formula sheet for practical paper and it should be prepared by yourself. See to it that you give a glance to those sheets each day.
For theory don’t skip any questions read it at least once.
- Do you think BMS student require coaching classes or is self-study enough? Had you joined any coaching class for a particular subject?
Yes, but only for practical subjects it requires as we don’t have habit of practicing & also self study is of great importance. I had joined classes only for Financial Management
.
- Did you participate in college fests or extra-curricular activities? Do you think a BMS student can manage both studies and extra activities?
Yes, I have participated in inter-college competition. Yes, a BMS student can manage and must learn to manage as he/she is doing management studies.
- Did you pursue any additional courses/ internships alongside BMS?
No, I concentrate only on studies. I did internships only during vacations.
- Today, we often come across students committing suicide out of failure, depression or tension of exams. What do you have to say about this? Did you use any special techniques for stress management?
Here I come across a famous saying given by Abraham Lincoln
“You cannot fail unless you quit”
So each student must try to face challenges in life that will lead them towards the mature thinking.
I spend time with parents and friends and share what I feel and their advice helps me to control the stress.
- Do you think the number of Industrial visits should be increased for BMS Students? Which industries have you visited?
Yes, a great importance should be given in every college. As we learn better when we actually see. I visited Sang Fasteners Ltd. HMT, woolen textile mill to name a few.
- Do you think BMS students are flooded with assignments, projects and internal exams round the clock? What changes would you like to bring in the BMS Curriculum?
Yes, these activities makes BMS student stressful.
They should concentrate more on projects, presentations and test. Assignment should be avoided.
- What message would you like to give to the next batch of BMS students?
Attend all lectures of colleges with concentration don’t fully depend on coaching classes and also give all your internals properly where 40 % of preparation gets over.
- What are the future plans post BMS?
Planning to do part time MCA with job
