Tell us more about yourself.
I am Rahul Kor from Murbad and passed TYBMS with 72%. My hobbies are playing cricket, listening music and also be part of intercollege festivals.
Were you expecting to top in the exams? To whom would you credit this success to?
I was expecting to top in Birla College, Kalyan. My credit goes to my mom, dad and college faculties.
Did you prepare religiously from day One or A few weeks before the exams?
Yes I was prepared for the exams.
How did you allot time to different subjects?
Yes I followed self-made timetable in different subjects and also studied 12 hours a day.
Which are the easy subjects?
International Marketing and Portfolio Management
Any special way of writing the answers?
It actually depends on our thinking. My way was to write answers pointwise and related to the questions asked.
 How to crack case studies in theory and practical subjects?
First of all is read the case and find the merits and demerits or understand the case then write the answers to the questions.
Which reference books you used?
I referred Vipul and Rishabh Publication books.
Do you think BMS student require coaching classes or is self-study enough? Had you joined any coaching class for a particular subject?
I had joined coaching classes for practical subjects like Portfolio and International Finance. I think BMS students require coaching classes only for practical subjects and not theory subjects. Self-study is enough for passing BMS.
Did you participate in college fests or extra-curricular activities? Do you think a BMS student can manage both studies and extra-activities?
I participated in college festivals and I feel bms students are eligible and can manage both studies and other activities perfectly.
Did you pursue any additional courses/ internships alongside BMS?
I completed M.S.C.I.T and TALLY. I didn’t take up any internships.
Today, we often come across students committing suicide out of failure, depression or tension of exams. What do you have to say about this? Did you use any special techniques for stress management?
I would say that FAILURE IS THE FIRST STEP OF SUCCESS. SUICIDE IS ALL WASTE. Instead of taking tension for exams, its better we study the entire subjects and face the challenges. YOU WILL DEFINITELY BE A WINNER.
Do you think the number of Industrial visits should be increased for BMS Students? Which industries have you visited?
Yes, the number of IVs should be increased for BMS atleast 1 semester – 1 visit. I haven’t visited any industries in the BMS course.
Do you think BMS students are flooded with assignments, projects and internal exams round the clock? What changes would you like to bring in the BMS Curriculum?
No changes required in BMS. All these assignments and projects helps us to manage time.
What message would you like to give to the next batch of BMS students?
No one in this world is pure and perfect. You will have to do hardwork to get success. Best of Luck.
What are the future plans post BMS?
I haven’t yet decided.
