Hispanic Horizons (
www.hispanic-horizons.org) is an Institute for teaching Spanish language. We are
based in Mumbai, India.The aim of Hispanic Horizons is
to teach Spanish to many people (in India and outside India) so as to open NEW HORIZONS in their lives: to learn new cultures, to meet new people and make new friends, to find new job opportunities. Hispanic Horizons follows the International Standards for language teaching and, at the same time, gives personal attention is given to each student and his/her needs trying to transmit good values as well. As Henry Adams said: “A teacher affects eternity: he can never tell where his influence stops”. We conduct both Spanish classes in the classroom and online. We also offer other services related to Spanish language such as
translations, interpretations, voice over, etc.Hispanic Horizons is a unit in Mumbai of Domus HP & S, a company located in New Delhi, which started in 2010. The person running Hispanic Horizons in Mumbai is Ms. Blanca Dean, a Spanish National, who has more than 13 years experience of teaching Spanish to Indian people and of training teachers to become Spanish teachers and in doing Spanish translations and interpretations. She did two Masters from Spanish Universities, one in “Education” and the other in “Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language” as well as many other additional courses. She is also an IB Spanish teacher in Bombay International School in Mumbai.We have
weekday and weekend courses suitable for both college students and working professionals. There is also
training for international Spanish exams conducted by institutes and universities in Spain. We also conduct some international exams at Hispanic Horizons. The teaching methods and curriculum are set, keeping in mind the European framework of languages (CERF). We have a
placement cell as well through which we help our students to get Spanish related jobs. There is no age limit for the Spanish courses; any one right from a 15 yr old student to a 70 yr adult is welcome to do our courses.
We are an accredited examination center of Fidescu (which depends on the Ministry of Education of Spain) as well as an accredited examination center of the Chamber of Commerce of Madrid, Spain.
In Hispanic Horizons there are Indian teachers and translators as well as Spanish Nationals, all well trained and experienced.

It is the official language of more than 20 countries with almost 500 million people whose mother tongue is Spanish and it is the 2nd most spoken language in USA: Apart from Spain, a total of twenty countries in Latin America have Spanish as their first language, plus Equatorial Guinea in Africa. A significant number of the population of other countries also use it, including the United States, as we have mentioned above.
If you learn Spanish, you can easily understand quite a lot of Portuguese and Italian and you can have a better understanding of English.

Learning Spanish is necessary to keep pace with popular culture. Who has not heard about Latin music or has not seen dances like flamenco, salsa, tango, merengue, cha cha cha, bachata, etc.? All of this and much more belong to the culture of the Spanish Speaking countries.
