I was set on my bed and was spaying outside of window, here is too much rain. I was feeling excited because I was thinking that my article must be selected for best article in bms, ckt college. I thought, my efforts of three days for this article (“Attitude”) with this illness will be give me a best reward. I wrote my article in word doc. and was going to mail it. But I thought, first I should check the website.
I opened that website and I shocked. I got worried after read this statement, “DO NOT send copyright article or copied content. I had done more efforts for this article (Attitude), but because the fear of one thing I decided to take help of some author’s book such as Shiv Khera’s book, “Dhirubhaism” and others (which is having copyrights).
That one thing is my weakness i.e. not proper proficiency on english language. I had passed my high school education from hindi medium. I achieved many prizes in eassy writing competition on Zonal level and State level but that is in Hindi essay competition. That is why I decided to take help from those books because their grammer is accurate.
Now, what I should do? Again I am failure to beat my weakness. I think, I should stop because what I can do within this 3-4 hours. I must have to submit this till 27th july. I think, I can’t do anything. I should quit.
I was feeling sad. But suddenly I reminded something i.e. the one paragraph of my essay which I had written in F.Y. Jr. college in Hindi essay competition. That is the example of Great Successful Failure of US, the sixteenth president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln.
This was a man who failed in business at the age of 21; was defeated in a legislative race at age 22; failed again in business at age 24; had his sweetheart die when he was age 26; had a nervous breakdown at age 27; lost a congressional race at age 34; lost a senatorial race at age 45; failed in an effort to become vice-president at age 47; lost a senatorial race at age 49; and was elected president of the United States at age 52.
Can we call him failure? He could have give up but he had known the part was worn and slippery but not to fall.
In 1914, Thomas Edison, at age 67, lost his factory to fire. It had very little insurance. No longer a young man, Edison watched his lifetime effort go up in smoke and said, “There is great value in disaster. All our mistakes are burnt up. Thank God we can start anew.” In spite of disaater, three weeks later, he invented the phonograph. What an attitude! Thomas Edison failed approximately 10,000 times while he was working on the light bulb.
Most people give up just when they are about to achieve success. They quit on the one-yard line. They give up at last minute of the game, one foot from a winning touchdown.
– H.Ross Perot
An English proverb says, “A smooth road can never made a skillful driver”. People should never give up. Every success story is also a story of great failure.
I don’t know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.
– Bill Cosby.
“For those who dare to dream, there is a whole world to win… Dream and dare.
– Dhirubhai Ambani.
Just always think positive and keep dare to do. We should fight with difficulties and should learn from the mistakes. Might you will be failure many times but practice makes man perfect. Keep on trying your best, one day you must get a success.
