HTC’s new One M8 will soon be having a new feature ‘extreme power saving mode’ (number 1.54.651.8)Â which conserves CPU usage, cranks down the screen brightness, turns off vibration, shuts down the phone’s data connection when the screen is off and turns off the pedometer.
Only essential apps can be used in the power-saving mode i.e. phone, messages, email, calendar and calculator. The phone’s last 5 percent of battery can stretch to an additional 15 hours. This feature is already available on international models – HTC One M8 from UK. Samsung Galaxy S5 has a similar ‘Ultra power-saving’ mode which can turn your phone’s interface monochrome.
HTC One M8 is the fastest test mass-market smartphone so far as the average touch response time has been measured as 46 milliseconds. According to reports, HTC One M8 is nearly 40 % faster than iPhone 5s.
Display average touch response time ranges from 80ms and 250 ms in modern smartphones but HTC One M8 touch response time is 63ms.
All new HTC One M8 comes with a 5-inch full-HD display and available in 16GB and 32GB storage options with support for expandable storage via microSD card of up to 128GB capacity.
