It is absolutely insane to even talk about this in 2014, but a few recent instances that have reached my ears have ensured that I somehow feel, those days of the wordless, eye-to-eye love are back!
Now, not that it ever went out of fashion among certain groups of shy and introvert’s but was just put on the back burner by those very rebelliously vociferous and PDA brand of people. So what changed suddenly? The fact that maybe people got tired of a string of people who were all words and no deeds.
It’s a mere assumption, but by the looks of it I do feel that people getting into relationships for filling up a vacuum or just for the heck of having a fresh change in life has reduced. The love that went missing in the search for adventure and newness has found it’s way back post passages of unsatisfactory endings and repetitive break up saga’s.
‘Aankhon he aankhon’ mien does not signify shyness, it signifies the time taken to know, judge and evaluate what you want before you end up jumping the guns at the prospect of taking up the best of whatever you can get. Maybe the new found patience, is a result of all those experiences maybe your own, maybe of someone close that eventually showcased running behind love wont help you get it, in fact it will ensure exactly the opposite!
This Aankhon he aankhon mien, concept is cute in it’s way of ensuring there is a mystery and an adventure to the entire relation, where both people value the relation because of the patience needed to get to it and where each first move and action gives you that insight and understanding of the person based on your observation, which somehow went amiss in those met-dated-bored-broke up fast paced cycles.
Let’s just hope, that we don’t let go of our rebellious nature completely and stand up when it’s required yet retain the new found romance, full of that spell binding magical feeling people call Love!
